Sounds like she bought the soap and added the oils and threw the formula off. It would have been fine with just distilled water to thin it out. I hope it was a test. But she has a couple options and I don't like any of them. 😏

Found a random CPBS formula and made LS & my favorite 2 inch round gift basket soap. I love the way the log slides right out of the mold. LS is nice & Bars are curing. I scented the bars with 5 fold orange and left the LS unscented for now.

If you're new to LS or BS you can very easily become discouraged and disappointed based on a few failed attempts. It's not that serious unless you choose to make it so. Not all bs formulas will create clear LS, but not all LS formulas will either. If clear soap is your goal, then you will learn...

You can definitely use the same formulas for bar & LS. I've done it many times and was never disappointed. I've made identical formulas except for SF % and used the bar to thicken the LS. It was very thick and creamy. So. If anyone wants to use the same formula, do it. 👍🏻😉
