    Rosehips

I love using Green Tea powder in soap! It turns a very earthy brown with specks!

    Advice and recommendations…

I linked a Brambleberry kit for beginners. It looks pretty inclusive of what she would need. And I found some unscented soaps of mine, a chamomile infused and oatmeal and coconut milk, for them to try out. I just felt anxious answering either question and needed moral support! Thanks!

    Advice and recommendations…

I just got two Facebook messages for two different people asking questions that would take me hours to answer and I’m not even sure if I even know the answers to give them. my first instinct is to point the starter kit friend to Bramble Berry for the kit and YouTube. But there is so much more!

What is on your soapy Christmas list?

I actually also sliced the pad of my pinky finger on a meat slicer at a bagel/pizza shop I worked at after high school. The owner’s wife was a nurse at a plastic surgeon’s office so he sewed my finger up. I always say “I’ve had work done”! Lol … didn’t hurt a bit, such a clean cut. Although I...

Maybe it keeps the front and back from pulling or something, it just works for me. And it’s quicker too! I’m just jealous you got the new system… the wand!!! 😍😁😝 @TashaBird !!!! This is my favorite pull through!!! If anything happens to it I will be sad. Have you broken a plate yet? I was...

SMF Challenge November 2021 - Rainbows

I use a router made by Wild Platanica. It’s pretty cool and I actually love it! I could do much fancier edges because it come with many different edge keys… but I stick with simple edges. Wild Platanica

What soapy thing have you done today?

I’ve found that I ruin less wraps if I stack a few bars and heat the sides first from a safe distance (what that distance is seems to change with every swipe of the heat gun!) then un-stack and hit the top and bottom gently to tighten. I don’t blow out as many seams that way. Maybe they have a...

    Syndet Shampoo Bar Trials

So the recipe I use it one that I bought from the Esty shop: DIYbathandbodyshop | Etsy Not sure if the link will work, but it’s the DIYbathandbodyshop on Etsy and the shampoo bars are good. Also there was much talk about the recipe from the website @Janewoc17 linked above in other shampoo bar...

    Thanksgiving

I get a turkey breast for me and the kids, rub it down with olive oil and a poultry rub, put it in the crock pot with some seasoned potatoes and veggies and put it on low for the night. Perfect turkey breast every time. I even learned to make homemade gravy this year. I was pretty impressed with...

YEP! Which is why I have not bought any BTMS 50. But I might try it eventually.

    Your Black Friday list

I’ve been using BTMS 25, is BTMS 50 really more conditioning?

    Shaving soap not slick enough

Last time I bought 🌽, I kept the silk and dehydrated and ground it in a spice grinder and used it that way. I thought about growing corn for this reason and also we love fresh 🌽. But yep! That’s the same silk!

    Dilution…

So I need to dilute some soap paste for all my thanksgiving prep dishes and just realized that I used the last of my distilled water for a master batch of lye. Really don’t want to brave the store before work. Can I use filtered tap water? Should I use preservatives? I have germall plus...

SMF Challenge November 2021 - Rainbows

So I tried 3 times and had 2 entries to pick from. That was a tough decision for me. But I surveyed everyone I came in contact with. This was my other choice… These last two batches I went back to cutting 1” thick bars instead of 1 1/4”. I think they are more of a normal size!?!? Plus I needed...

Entry thread for the November Challenge - Rainbows

So after limiting myself to 3 attempts, I went with my gut and the decision making skills of my friends and family. This is my entry for this month's challenge: This is a design I found on Instagram. Nest Soapery to be specific. She called it the Nesting Drop Swirl? It was fun and pretty cool...
