    Squareup

Thank you, @zanzalawi and @DeeAnna. That is what I was thinking about the products being each individual listing. It makes for a longer buildout with nearly 100 items but I think more satisfying for the buyer experience. I don’t push my website or online ordering but lately I have been asked...

    Squareup

I’m revamping my website so it integrates with my square to keep better track of inventory and sales. It’s hosted by Weebly and I actually already have a weebly site but I like the way the ordering works with squareup. My question is about listing products and choices. As a buyer, do you prefer...

This is not soap - syndet bar

If it lasts forever, I’d pay that much but I need a reliable recommendation. If you get one, @Obsidian, let me know!

This is not soap - syndet bar

I’ve watched milling in a major soap factory and it doesn’t seem so hard to me. I agree with @Cellador that they are trying to disparage soap for their superior bar which they don’t say at all is a synthetic detergent. And playing in people’s fears about sodium hydroxide because many times they...

This is not soap - syndet bar

I came across this advert on Facebook and had to check it out for this product. Seems like the ultimate syndet bar they got going here for $26. A proprietary and moisturizing blend of sodium cocoyl isethionate (derived from coconut oil), stearic acid (from cocoa butter and shea butter)...

    Australia is burning.

I just read a repost from Soaps by Heather on Facebook about these fires. It’s so scary and devastating. I’m a sorry that so many are affected. :(

    Holiday decorations

My youngest son is such a Christmas lover; if it weren’t for him we probably wouldn’t decorate. He has been begging for his own tree so my MIL found one for him. It’s actually a tree we keep all year so now he will have a chore to keep it alive. here are my two favorite decorations...a 10 ft...

Sunset shampoo bars - pressed or poured?

I was able to mold my bars into little round cakes by hand. I just can’t get my mold to work. They just didn’t seem to dry out.

    Syndet Shampoo Bar Trials

I’m not sure what the difference in price is so much. “You get what you pay for” is the reasoning I’ve been hearing. I was recommended one like this: WeekStar Digital, 0.01 High Accuracy Pocket Size Meter/PH 0-14.0 Measuring Range, Quality Tester for Household Drinking Water, Swimming Pools...

    Syndet Shampoo Bar Trials

@KiwiMoose, did you pH test your bar? I tested mine and it was a 6.5. I have thick, wavy ethnic-ish hair (I’m part Filipina and Spanish) and my Hair did feel squeaky clean right after washing and after drying a bit tangly but very shiny. I may have to bring the ph down some. I think I also...

    Syndet Shampoo Bar Trials

How long did it take for your bars to set up? My recipe turned out pretty gummy and pliable, not quite pourable.

Shaving soap for a straight razor

My shave soap is done in the crockpot as well as being a dual lye recipe. The stearic acid thickens the batter so fast when I tried to cold process it that it just makes sense to just melt everything and HP. I use a smidge of bentonite clay and citric acid in the recipe and my husband loves it...

    Lotion bars...who knew?

I have some of these! I think I’m gonna try my lotion bar in them. ETA...I have some of the crafters choice ones and those are nice for deodorants.

    Lotion bars...who knew?

I use these little containers from the Dollar Tree until I can find something better. The cardboard tubes I’ve used get grimy in my bag and the twist tubes for me are a bit big.

Anybody double shrink wrap bar soaps?

I do that with my lip balms but not soap. Before I switched to boxes and adhesive labels, I put my paper label against the soap and then shrink-wrapped. As a consumer it would irritate me to have so much packaging in a product. you could spray a clear coat on your label to protect it if putting...

OMG, Have you seen the prices for Fragrance oils at BB?

I think BB is expensive and I only buy from them once a year because they have one fragrance in my line and so I buy other little things from them to make it worth it. They do have great marketing. I was VERY tempted to buy a couple times the past few months.
