    All Natural conundrum

Her favorite phrase no matter if it was good or bad news was "sh*t fire and save matches"

    All Natural conundrum

No problem buddy 😊. Thanks. " a lie can win a sprint but it takes the truth to win a marathon" my grandma Ziegler always had a saying for any situation. Some of them were rated PG-13 lol.

    All Natural conundrum

"made with naturally derived cleansing ingredients'." I like that terminology too. I believe that I will try to work in both phrases if I can. I also think that I will change the name to "foaming hand cleanser". Since I am making and selling both kinds, it might make for a better distinction...

    All Natural conundrum

There are several non synthetic derivative surfactants and emulsifiers. Formulators sample shop carries many and that is where I get mine.

    All Natural conundrum

I'm not sure we are talking about the same thing. My foaming hand soap is not made with any kind of lye. It is strictly surfactants with water and a couple of other ingredients. I don't want to list my ingredients for all to see but I would not call it a liquid hand soap.

    All Natural conundrum

That is an excellent question. I know there are trade groups who attempt to define certain words, phrases and terminology but they have no way to enforce a penalty for those who break their rules. Other than denying their endorsement or revoking their membership. Plus each group has their own...

    All Natural conundrum

Thanks. I am very hesitant using the term "all natural" for the reasons that you mentioned. What I thought about doing is going with the term "earth friendly" or "green". However I would love to come up with a short description which explains what my product is in relation to "natural". The...

    All Natural conundrum

I agree with you. I'm definitely going to use a preservative. The last thing that I want is for someone to become sick from using my products. Since my selling is just getting started, I would hate for to end all of a sudden because I thought I would be ok without a preservative. I really think...

    All Natural conundrum

I completely agree with what you said. I always use copper as the example. I think what I am going to do, is stay with the GMP but bring with me when I set up at the farmers/craft market/shows a little bit made with the leucidal and see how they sell side by side. I can separate a small amount...

    All Natural conundrum

I have created a foaming hand soap that is 99% all natural. The 1% that cannot be called natural is the preservative, liquid germall plus. For my formula I have a natural alternative which is Leucidal® SF Max. The conundrum that I have is that I don't have as much experience/faith with the...

    Help.. Vanilla stabilizer

She has already asked me and I don't know because WSP doesn't list their ingredients. My guess is yes but it's strictly a guess.

    8 hours post cutting

Did you gel your soap and did you use sodium lactate or salt to help harden the soap in the mold?

Euxyl K910 - Paraben and Formaldehyde Free Preservative

I have not tried it myself because I like the results with the germall plus. Can I ask why you want to switch because that could be helpful to finding an answer for you.

    Cold process embeds

I know some people have used MP embeds in CP soap, with varied results but I don't know if I have heard of anyone using CP embeds in MP. Mt guess is it would probably not work but I could be wrong.

    Homemade Vanilla Stabilizer?

@AliOop can you provide some information?

    CPOP questions!

I can't add anymore on CPOP but an alternative to CPOP is using heating pads to wrap around your mold. I use 2 heating pads, one on top and one on bottom. Then I cover them in a few heavy towels.

    Yogurt Powder

That would be just fine. For example, if I have 2.5lbs of oils, I will use just 2 tbsp of powder. I don't mess with the extra half pound but that is just my way. If you want to 2.5 tbsp you can.

    Yogurt Powder

With any powdered product it's best to add it with the oils IMO. The only reason why some people reconstitute it, is to make sure that there is no lumps or dry pockets when you cut your soap. I add any powders like that to my oils and then stick blend the crap out of it. I will SB it 2 or 3...
