    soaps for a cosmetic spa

Hi. I don't know if this company sends to Canada, but this is the only vanilla (and pistachio) I purchase. A bit on the pricey side (my opinion) but so spot on, I only buy it from them! Midwest sea salt company. Product number is 295165 Wholesale, Bulk and Retail Bath & Body Products -...

Wow! You take soap supplies when you go away??? I make soap like mad before I go! The only bills in my calendar are credit card due dates. Hmm I could just stop buying soaping supplies and could eliminate those! Uhhh NOT!😅

    essential oil

Hi, all! a few days (probably a week) ago, i came across a post with a ".gov" address for essential oils. I for the life of me, cannot find it now. The government website was in very ugly list form with a buttload of essential oils listed. Does anyone know where that post is? thanx in advance!

To sell or not to sell...

I have Liberty mutual. $44.00ish a month, worth the peace of mind! Because it is a "manufacturing" process, it isn't the easiest insurance to find. At the time I got the insurance, Liberty was the only one that would insure soap making, so, i have stuck with them.

CP Shave soap slow to trace?

do you by any chance have pics of the different stages of your cook? All the "recipes" i have seen with pics, none of them show what it is supposed to look like when it is ready to pour...

What soapy thing have you done today?

Currently 0540 making 3 loaves of HP soap. 2 of Salt, and 1 of pupper...30 bars total. in the past 3 weeks, made 150 bars...almost done! I shrink wrap my soaps, and set them on their side and label them that way so they sit straight, and don't fall over. (my 3 cents worth) (inflation)

Dual Lye Shave Soap - Making it fluid

Well, update...the batch seized!...I did salvage it, though. The seizure was my fault...got impatient, and broke out the mixer...oops! won't do that again! I do believe it will be just fine. I will post pics probably tomorrow when I take it out of the molds. I used a little bit of the leftovers...

Dual Lye Shave Soap - Making it fluid

They are round "bars" must Be a PA, thing! Unless it is liquid soap, it's a "bar" , round, , balled, puck, heart shaped...doesn't matter, its a bar of soap. LOL I went with sandlewood/vanilla. I expect it to get dark due to the vanilla, which is fine...smells heavenly, so it's all good!

Dual Lye Shave Soap - Making it fluid

It is a personal preference, but I don't like to use palm oil products, which most stearic acid comes from. Soy wax is 87ish% stearic acid, and should give me a pretty solid bar.

Dual Lye Shave Soap - Making it fluid

This is the recipe i liked the best of the 100 or so I looked at from Modernsoapmaking. The soy wax is at 49%, and LOTS of extra water to keep it fluid. It is cooking as I type...sucks not being able to sleep...HOWEVER, i make a lot of soap in my spare time! Shaving Soap Formula Used 325g Soy...

Dual Lye Shave Soap - Making it fluid

Hi, all! newbie here, but not to soap making. I have been making hot process soap for years (instant gratification thing). Hot process soap can indeed be used "right away", however, I find that it is much nicer to use if it sits for 1-2 weeks to allow for evaporation of the water to occur and...

    Soy Wax Use in Soap

Thank you for this! I have been soaping for years, and decided it is time for me to exit my comfort zone and make shaving soap, as it is not widely available in the handcrafting market where I am in PA
