I had a little extra that ended up in little molds. They're so cute!

    Banana soap

Iwill. I only put a hair over 1 ounce of puree. That part might not do much.

    Banana soap

I had a banana nut bread scent I've been wanting to try for a while. I added tothe banana theme by putting banana peel in the lye solution and banana puree in the oils. I hope to get the silk like results I've heard come from using the peel. My swirl is rather pitiful though lol.

    ZNSC attempt

I made my first attempt at ZNSC. Used the faux sea water with salt and baking soda. First, is it normal for the lye solution to foam a lot and the foam not stirback in? I poured it through a strainer into my oil to catch anything funky. Nothing really appeared . Second, I let it sit overnight...

    Castille

    Castille

Myyoungdaughtersaid something similar. "This is so random and has nothing to do with soap." I said yep, marketing ploy. I second the Goatzilla bar lol Don't be hating on Velveeta lmbo. But you're probably right that no one cares as long as it says "castille" on it

    Goatee soap!

    Castille

Yeah, they definitely muddled the waters quitea bit. My question of sorts is, does the addition of other things, but still remaining ONLY olive oil, change what it is? I've always understood the idea of "bastille" because of other oils added. The question now becomes, do additives also turn it...

    Castille

I'm notsure if this is semantics, or legit question. 100% olive oil used to make soap=castille(even tho the big company used shall not name screwed that up) 100% olive oil, but with goat milk, oats, clay, etc=still castille? If it's simply the oil choice that determines the classification...

What soapy thing have you done today?

I gave dish soap a whirl today. I want to see how the zero waste concept appeals to people here. I had a little leftoverthat I'll use myself to try out.

    Copious clay

No, it won't get much if any harder than it is now Once it gets wet, it's very smooth and soft. I feel just a tiny bit of exfoliating. It is honestly just a wet clay feel lol

    Copious clay

One YouTube creator is famous for "copious amounts of clay". I decided to see just how copious i could get lol. Made a small 2lb batch of lard, shea, and coconut soap with goat milk powder, oats, aloe vera juice, and clay. 6 ounces of kaolin clay. Yup, a bunch lol. 2.4:1 water, and 10% SF. I...
