What soapy thing have you done today?

And the cut of 3 of the 4🤯 I think I did okay. Patterns match my vision. Colors, not so much. But that blue is BLUE BLUE😳 The lemon is still to soft to unmold. And the scents are all missing😭 I hope they return🤞🏿

What soapy thing have you done today?

I've been in a funk lately so I made soap. ZNSB soap at that. 4 loaves. Bergamot (colored with spirulina), juniper and cedarwood (Himalayan rhubarb & indigo), tobacco & Amber (Himalayan rhubarb & activated charcoal), and lemon (tumeric). 2% sorbitol and .5% sodium gluconate. This time I made...

SMF November 2024 Challenge - Hello Yellow!

I was expecting orange and got a yellow when I used it alone the first time. Apparently alone smoked paprika produces a different color from regular paprika. I'll see what it does this time... Edit: added the smoked and crossed out alone

    Upgrading Moulds

I second the custom craft tools recommendation. I recently decided to move away from my homemade molds to silicon lined ones. And I just knew that someone somewhere would have my desired size available. Didn't work out that way unfortunately. I got something bigger then added HDPE inserts to...

    Just some guy's soaps

I made a shea/coconut/castor soap. Scented with CC pink grapefruit. Colored with Himalayan rhubarb infused castor with a smidge of Alkanet root infused castor. I cut it this morning (to soon😭) Only got a partial gel. Think it'll be a little while before I make another slab. Those suckers...

What soapy thing have you done today?

I made a slab of shea/coconut/castor soap scented with pink grapefruit. 3% Himalayan rhubarb infused castor with a pinch of Alkanet root infused castor for the pink. Hope the color holds 😬😁😍 And I broke up a 40 pound brick of coconut oil into 4 pieces

New to coloring bar soap, looking for help

My bad. Didn't realize you were not taking to me🤣😂🤣 Thanks! I think that red is only possible because the HO sunflower soap is shockingly white. I used a sous vide thingie (started with ANOVA but recently switched to inkbird) running at 150° for anywhere from 2 to 26 hours. Weight the...
