    Newton’s Third Law

Listing like that is a good way to go forward. I always do it after a batch is not what I wanted in an "update" section of my notes. I sometimes start doing something wrong (again) as a bad habit - eg, forgetting to check temps or using the SB too much without thinking about it - and writing...

    Yay for broken ankles

Ugh, that sounds awful. Sorry to hear it, hope that you are at least getting some peaceful rest.

    Pullthrough

I liked that there was just enough white for good contrast except for what looks like the end pieces. I love doing pullthroughs because they are so much fun to cut, but for the life of me I can;t figure out how to plan for the colors to come out in a particular order/design if that makes sense...

    My fragrance reviews

@Mobjack Bay, I know that @dmcgee5034 has mentioned really liking BB's Watermelon Sugar several times, she probably can opine on how well it sticks as well. I went and looked at it, it is expensive at $50/15 oz, though.

    Some of my favs

Wow. Those are awesome. I bet that doc was really touched by such a personal gift, I would have been.

What soapy thing have you done today?

I haven't used them, my comment was based on the almost universal tendency of floral and seawater FOs to speed trace. I've found ones that stick (eg, both Sweetcakes and Midwest Fragrance Company have wonderful rose fragrances that stick very well, but both accelerate trace to varying degrees...

    What silicone to chose?

Oh my goodness, that is so cool @dibbles. Thank you for the link.

    Newton’s Third Law

This is a pretty good link with a discussion on it. @cmzaha is a poster with a lot of credibility on this, she has more soaping/selling experience than almost anyone else here and (I think) was a hairdresser in her earlier life. ETA: @Punkerdoodle’s Homestead, @DeeAnna is an expert soaper and...

I'm going to open an Etsy store just for you, @Misschief :)

    Newton’s Third Law

Seconding Ali's recommendation to be careful about using regular/lye based soap on hair. I think many/most (?) of us have tried them with widely varying degrees of success. I found them quite unpleasant (and quit using them before they did damage). But prefer syndet shampoo bars to the liquid...

    Mobjack Bay 2024

@Mobjack Bay, another question (I clearly have a problem). Did you CPOP with those acrylic tubes? Looked in the description to see if they were heat resistant and to what degree, couldn't find anything. Worried b/c of @AliensrReal experience recently when their Custom Craft acrylic mold...

    What silicone to chose?

@natik, not sure if this is hijacking your thread, but would you post regarding your experience with the TC-5110? Looking for a silicone which will replicate fine details very well. I have a mold with a ton of them. I wanted to make a soap from it and then make a couple of molds from the soap...

    Mobjack Bay 2024

Thank you, ordered them. I realized when I looked at them that I had the same diameter/same brand in my Amazon "save for later" list, but the 20" single tubes. This pair of short ones is so much better for doing small batches to see what the results of each disc will be, thank you for letting...

Beautiful, are there five colors in that?

    Mobjack Bay 2024

@Mobjack Bay, where did you get the acrylic tubes? I think I looked for those but couldn't find one with a 3" inner diameter (or whatever it was that fit the discs, I may be mis-remembering.) Also, was the square mold the Crafter's Choice/WSP column one? Sorry, promise no more supplier...

    Watercolor

I like the bottom one best, like an abstract floral.

How much faster does tallow trace than lard?

I've now done three or four batches with the tallow I bought and it really does trace faster than lard for me. Not unworkable, but noticeable. I like the hardness it brings to the bars, but there is a trade off in speed during the make.

What Bath & Body Thing Have You Done Today?

I have de Quervain's too! Have had surgery for that, plus trigger thumb, plus carpal tunnel in both wrists! It seems like once this stuff starts it never ends, doesn't it? OK, I guess I I have to get some emu oil. Thank you. ETA: @AliOop, I'm glad to hear that the mag oil is so effective...

What Bath & Body Thing Have You Done Today?

@Misschief, does this work well for you guys? Have been thinking of making something for the pain in my hands but not sure where to start. Did you use emu oil or sub in something else? ETA: @AliOop, do you think adding magnesium oil to this would help or hinder? I wasn't sure if there would...

Etsy Shop DIY Bath & Body Shop

Re the solid conditioner bar, I like that too. I don't have a basis of comparison, as I tried it before I experimented with others and liked it enough not to go further. I don't like a super heavy conditioner, and I thought this was good in that respect.
