that's glycerin dew due to the humidity in the air. Different MP bases have different "sweating" tendencies. Ambient temperature/humidity also has an effect on MP soap. If I am not immediately wrapping my MP soap after it hardens, I keep the soap covered until I am able to wrap the MP soap...

sounds like there is a short somewhere. Did u try removing the metal sides/ teflon tape to get down to the heating element strip -- look through the opening near that screw (underneath the blue metal cover) to see if you can see some kind of metal or wiring touching and causing that spark...

WSP has low sweat MP bases. I'm able to leave those out unwrapped for 2 weeks without attracting glycerin dew. But it all depends on the environment the soap is stored in-- dry or humid.

mp soap does not sweat when kept dry and covered with plastic or shrink wrap. I have some MP bar soap a year old inside plastic wrap and there is no glycerin dew on it at all. You should be ok after letting your bath bomb and mp soap dry out before wrapping. however I do not know the ingredients...

200 is a little high but if the soap isn't rubbery then its ok. I usually try to stay below 180 but it always depends on the manufacturer and the soap base itself. honey base will liquify faster than coconut and so forth.

What temperature is the soap you're melting it to?

There are several brands of Melt n Pour soap. Catalina, SFIC, Stephenson, WSP. The trend of taking store bought soap and "melting" it down is not true Melt n Pour.

some MP bases..especially the sulfate free bases do not suds up as much as other soaps. I like using a soap saver bag to increase suds but have gotten used to the creamy lather MP soap offers instead of bubbly suds.

There was another post recently about Stephenson's MP soap not melting properly. Stephensons has a higher melting point than WSP's. Try heating it up longer and checking the temp with a infrared thermometer. Sometimes you have to go higher than the recommended temp in order to get it liquid...

I accidentally heated my WSP MP base to 200. it became cloudy and extra bubbly...other than that it was ok. I think highest temp varies according to type of soap and manufacturer.

I Had a package from Walmart.. Tracking showed that it had left the warehouse and was at a fed ex a few hours away. then It was stuck there for a couple weeks. then Walmart cancelled the order ???? said it was out of stock! I know covid has caused a lot of issues but some are certainly ridicilous
