Looks like Glycerin Dew - It is caused by humidity. It doesn't harm your soap, just makes it ugly. MP soap should be wrapped in saran or shrink wrap within a day or two of unmolding. Sometimes I can put off wrapping it the weather is dry. But when its humid glycerin dew gets on some MP bases...

congrats on trying something new! regarding the dye -- try hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol. see if it helps remove some of the dye. I use it all the time for permanent markers.
