My soap looks weird and wrinkled

What type of colors are you using? I had a soap where I split the batch and added pureed carrots and the plain sections and carrot sections cured differently. I think it was because of the extra water in the carrot.

    2nd Batch Salt Soap

My husband ADORES salt bars. They seem to be super popular with all the men who have tried mine.

How much Soap did you make this weekend?

    1. 8 bars 2. 1 batch 3. NG Pink Sugar 4. Ultramarine blue and violet. Which in hindsight was a total waste since its going to discolor. I used all my ingredients up now and can't order more until the end of the month, so I'm kind of bummed. No soap for a couple weeks.

    Beer Soap WHY?

Shhhhhhh....I don't like it either :silent: I do have some in the freezer to try soaping with though.

    Looking for good affordable colors.

I'm no expert for sure, but I got sample sizes of Oxides & ultramarines from http://www.tkbtrading.com/category.php?category_id=44. The samples are about $1.50 each and seem to be more then enough for multiple 2 pound batches to try out.

    SALT BARS - Need assistance

There is a very small window of time where its perfect to cut salt bars. For me it's at 2.5 hrs. At 2 hours the bars are still too soft and at 3 they are to hard and crumble when I cut. Many people recommend single cavity molds so you don't have to cut them at all. I haven't found a mold my...

Thank you, Genny - toilet fizzies!

I've made bath bombs using metal measuring cups. I thought they worked pretty well as molds. I have some with the 1\3 cup. That seems like it might be too big. Maybe a 1/4 cup?

    My first soap attempt

They look lovely! Much nicer then my first FEW batches! Next time you buy olive oil, try Sams Club (if you have one nearby). I get the jug of 100% Olive Oil ( not EVOO or anything fancy) and even my castille is off white with only the faintest green tint to it.
