Maybe this is a silly question...

I've been using one of those wire cheese slices on a board...whatever they are really called. I find I get better cuts with it, although I sometimes get little bumps on the cut sides.

    Please indulge me!

The website said light to medium chocolate brown. I just checked them again and they didn't seem to be getting darker. Huh, whodathunk an FO thats supposed to discolor would be messing with me like this!

    Please indulge me!

Unmolded! I'm anticipating that the bottoms will discolor darker. I left the tops unscented to keep them white, but the discoloration from the bottoms are bleeding to the tops. But, eh...whatever...I'm still happy with them.

    Cp cupcakes?

I've tried them in regular cupcake liners and they stuck. The only way to get the paper off was to get the soap wet. Not only that, but the color of the paper liners changed too.

Thank you! The red sprinkle is just red decorating sugar.

    Please indulge me!

The last time I attempted cupcake soaps they were a failure and I said never again. BUT today I did, and I'm so excited how they turned out! All you can see are the tops since they are still in the molds, but I was just too excited to wait! Scent is peppermint bark.

    Honeywash soap

Very pretty! Don't forget to post a picture after you cut them!

    Quality over design

I kind of like the look of spooning and glopping the thick batter into the molds. I've done 2 like that, and even though they aren't the typical swirl, I like the look.

    New Soaps

I love, love, love the first and fourth ones! Especially the fourth, its stunning. ETA I love them ALL, but my faves are first and fourth

Apple & Clover and Oakmoss & Amber Avocado

I love looking at soap pictures sooo much. I am not crafty or artistic AT ALL but these pictures inspire me to at least try! Apple & Clover. This is what happens when you take all of 2 seconds to research a technique and just go for it... Amber & Oakmoss Avocado Soap. Green for now...

    New Snow Soap

I love how the swirls are, with the 2 tones like that. So soft and beautiful. Gawd, I love looking at soap pictures!

    Weird 'lacy' coloration

I've had the same thing happen. I use oil sol TD. BUT I've also had it happen in my red oxide. When it has happened its always been my gelled soaps. So now whenever I try to get fancy, I put the soap in the fridge.

    Getting ready for 1st batch...

Totally legit question! It's something I'm super concerned about. I have a cat and 2 dogs. (Who knew a dog who only weighs 20 lbs could shed so much...geez...) When I get ready to soap, I thoroughly clean my counters, and then put down newspaper. Then I wipe all of my molds, bowls, etc with...

    Drop in swirl!

So pretty! I had to google the technique, add me to the lst of people who are going to try this!

My Soap cutter is cutting crooked

Is that cutter running 5.0? I think you'll find that once you upgrade to 7.0 or higher that the accuracy will improve. I'm currently running 16.0 and you are right, it's getting very difficult to find.

    Moldy soap.

    It's later!

    Loofah soap

I bet they smell awesome! I still haven't gotten the nerve to try EOs yet. Mine are Salty Sea Air. I'd love to try peppermint, but I'm overwhelmed with all of the types!

    Loofah soap

I used 3 in PVC pipe and my loofas fit in fine. I got them at Target though, so they could have been dwarf loofas.

    Loofah soap

I used it whole and cut the loaf with a serrated bread knife. It cut nicer then I expected. Although crooked as all get out, but that's my fault. But I think I've seen them done with the sliced loofah too.

    Loofah soap

I've never even tried loofah soap before. I just thought they looked neat :Kitten Love:. I am kind of worried that they'll be too scratchy. Worst case I can probably scrub pans with them!
