Favorite retailer for FO and EO in CP soaps

I think you will find a number of reliable retailers out there for CP soap supplies. Some of my favorites are Brambleberry, Wholesale Supplies Plus, The Scent Works, Daystar (FOs only), Columbus Foods (for large purchases of oils).

    Shea Butter Shelf Life?

I had about a 1/2 pound of refined shea butter that I purchased from Wholesale Supplies that stayed good for about a year. I kept it in a ziploc bag stuffed into a plastic container and placed it in the fridge where it was always cold. I didn't see any evidence of rancidity and used it later...

    Lining your molds

I found some good tutorials on youtube. This is the same way I line my molds and it's fairly easy after you do it a few times. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2qFquCo0yY Good luck!

    Looking for a fragrance

I've used a mix of peach, apricot, and a touch of ginger and then added some carrot seed essential oil. It turned out nice, but the carrot seed oil was very strong and earthy smelling so if you use this, use a light hand because it tends to overpower the other scents. Good luck!

    Uhhg. Monsanto

Check out the documentary called "Food, Inc." Should be available through Netflix and other video rental places. It's a real eye opener and talks a lot about corn, food processing, and Monsanto's seed monopoly. Makes you rethink why type of food you buy and where you buy it from.

    Bubble Bar molding suggestions??

As a longtime lover of Lush's bubble bars, I have been trying out a recipe to make my own. I've been having trouble shaping the bars so that they look nice. I've tried rolling into balls, etc. I've also tried rolling them out and then rolling them up into a swirl like Lush, but the bath...

    Natrasorb or IPM?

I'm trying to come up with a good recipe for lotion bars and body butters. I've seen a number of recipes that call for Natrasorb to help fight the greasy feel, but i don't have this on hand. Can I simply substitute IPM? Do these two products work in the same way? Maybe I could use IPM and...

    Round Waterproof Labels?

I have purchased the 1.5 round labels from Online labels, but I got the poly ones for laserjet. They are wonderful and I've had no problems with smearing ink or fading. I highly recommend that website and you can use the Maestro label designer for free after purchasing. That label designer...

Does your FO make your Lotions / creams taste bad?

Ok - I know this is an odd question, but have you ever done this... I put my handmade body butter on my hands, then at some point, I might put my hand in my mouth to get something out of my teeth, bite a nail, whatever. All I end up tasting is the god-awful taste of perfume from the hand...

Rate your FO on a scale of 1 to 10

I have a WONDERFUL oatmeal, milk, and honey from Bramble berry. I rate it a 10 because the smell is like pure heaven to me. Best OMH out there IMO. It soaped great, discolored to a very light tan and the scent is holding strong. I could keep my nose in this bar all day!
