    Oil Of Oregano as a Preservative?

    Has anybody used or would recommend Oil of Oregano as a preservative due to its antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties. The smell is strong but I'm considering adding it to some stuff I working on?

    Thank you. That's the Red Palm Oil. Fading a bit, but still bright orange. Scent thankfully is dissipating. Made a nice hard bar.

    Re: newbie confusion about feasibility of 100% olive oil soa Ireland and Italy have large African communities in the main cities(Rome especially). Have you checked their ethnic food stores? I buy palm and coconut oils there cheap.Also Indian/Asian Stores sell coconut and almond oils cheap

    Nice! All I have been doing so far is the CPHP in crock pot. Dont have a Stainless Steel Pot I want to devote to soap yet. But dont mind using my old 6 qt Crock pot. As a more experienced soaper, do you find you have more artistic leeway with cold process. I find HP limiting for stuff I want...

    My first batches

    I used a smaller bubble wrap. I tried the larger one for the tea tree and it was big oily mess and the shape wasn't defined. I lightly brushed the small bubble wrap with gold Mica after cutting. I noticed some parts the bubbles wre popped and the effect was flat.

    I don't have a lot of fragrances and colors to play with yet, but have been using what I had on hand. Most of my coloring is from spice cabinet or oil bases used. So far have only been doing HP soap and using objects found around house for molds.( Oatmeal boxes, plastic storage boxes, etc.)...

    I had a lot left rendered from Thanksgiving in the freezer.Its so clear. My great aunts have some old folklore about it for all sorts of remedies. So I figured why not add it to the soap. Only used a small amount.
