Looking at my notes - lye was 89F and oils 93F - my normal temps for milk soaps. Perhaps the sugar in the sheep milk caused it to overheat. I don't think I overinsulated and I also didn't notice it being too hot in the mold. :? But then I must have done something wrong for this to have happened.

I also dissolve my honey in warm water and then add to warm oils. I find it easier to use honey that doesn't have any crystallized bits or beeswax bits in it. Carolyn
