Great soap!! I haven't made soap in weeks and I am missing it but just dont have any more storage area to cure it all. Two batches at one time is daring.

Other than putting in for color what would be the purpose of using Jojoba beads? I am new at this and see them for sale but have no idea what there usage would be for.

    the soap I made yesterday

Saw this method on utube. Sorry I cant give credit for it. Mine did not turn out like hers but it is better than I expected. At the end my husband helped me spoon in the soap and he went heavy with the white - it was supposed to be very thin layers of color. Normally I like plain and simple...

Thanks thanks for the compliments. I would never had had the courage to make buttermilk soap or any milk soap after reading how difficult it can be but with the support of my daughter and the knowledge I have gained thru this forum and the fact that I had extra buttermilk in the refrigerator...

I am glad to hear that this problem is not just with my soap. I have never had any burning before but noticed it with my first cured soaps. I only used handmade soap before I even stated making my own, without any problem.Maybe for me it is the fragrance oil. Thanks so much for bringing this...

what % are you prefering to superfat ????????

Thanks Mike, I am also a senior so I will try the 7% super-fat. I am new to soap making and I should have known how addicted it would be. Thank goodness that I have a large extended family to pass all this soap on too. Lots of bars went to Germany last week - my husband had to go visit his...

what % are you prefering to superfat ????????

Does superfatting at 7% make the soap softer? I have made 9 batches so far and I am very pleased with the results but superfatted 5% only. I am going to go for 7% for my next batch to have something to compare. By the way! Thanks so much for the great soap education I get everytime I...
