Just wanted to add that if you could think of anything that would be good for natural coloring/natural scent that I could find at the grocery store, that would be sweet. Would cocoa powder work as a scenting agent?

Thanks for the information! Good idea! I think I may try some batches gelled and some ungelled to see which I prefer. I think I do prefer a more opaque soap but it sounds like gelling has its benefits too. When my wooden mold with lid gets here, it'll probably be easier for it to gel don't you...

I just did my first batch today too! Unfortunately I didn't do a large enough batch to be able to use my hand blender, and it took over an hour for mine to trace. I didn't even use OO either. It was 25% coconut oil, 65% palm oil, and 10% shea butter.

Hahaha! You could totally be here in 3 hours. I don't think the soap would be ready by then though lol. I used up all the essential oils that I had but I'm ordering more. If the smelly quality lasts after it's done curing, and I can replicate it, maybe I'll mail you a bar of it :D

Re: x It's a plastic mold. Some of them have 3 cavities and others have 4. I got them from Michaels.
