    Flaked lye vs. pellet lye?

I guess I'm the minority here, but I didn't enjoy the flaked lye. I thought it was a lot harder to dissolve in water. The flakes seemed to form a hard lump on the bottom of my lye container. I also have a small scale and the large flakes were harder to pour into a small container to weigh.

    Filling small plastic moulds

fill them, wait for the soap to reach a consistency that doesn't splash then pick them up about 3-4 inches above a counter top and drop them. If you're a patient person gently tap the mold on a hard surface a million times until all the bubbles come out.

Can I freeze Oil for storage purposes?

I have about 7 lbs of 76 degree coconut oil, I was wondering if freezing it will damage the oil in any way. With summer coming and it's low melt point this seems like the best solution for a house with a ton of freezer space and very little cabinet space.

    Strange color

the only color was the light green of the grapeseed oil and the clay, I thought between the clay, grapeseed and leaves that I'd get a light gray with brown flecks. It smells great but I'll probably never reproduce the color

    Strange color

So I made a 3lb batch of peppermint soap and it's got a lighter outside color and a strange burgundy interior. It's been unmolded for 48 hours now and the color hasn't changed. It's CP that was put in a 170 degree oven for about an hour and left in the oven overnight. No coloring agents were...
