Both the Java Jumpstart and the Grapefruit soaps are now cut and curing. I'm pretty happy with both. 20190125_130910_HDR.jpg 20190125_152513_HDR.jpg 20190126_084038_HDR.jpg 20190126_084319_HDR.jpg

I rushed over here to this thread after reading on the 'what soapy thing' thread that you'd cut your soap! Yay! These look great! I'm with @Hendejm on that pink one - just love those colours ( and I don't even like pink myself!). But the other one is beautifully done too - with good contrast in the swirls.

What you achieved in the Java soap is my favorite kind of swirl. I really don't care for a lot of colors at once, or very 'busy' soap, but these butterfly swirls give sufficient 'interest factor' for me. Just my opinion ... It's not like I have any talent for making my soap look any way I might choose... ;)

Those are beautiful, Ms @Misschief ! and you always have wonderfully 'clean' cuts...

Thank you, Meena. Swirls take some practice; keep them simple and they'll turn out just fine. I'm not always happy with my swirls but I am happy with these two.

I wish my Scientific Soaping book would hurry up and get here. :search:

EDIT: Maybe this belongs in the Gripes forum :D
