Yesterday's Soaps

Both the Java Jumpstart and the Grapefruit soaps are now cut and curing. I'm pretty happy with both.

I rushed over here to this thread after reading on the 'what soapy thing' thread that you'd cut your soap! Yay! These look great! I'm with @Hendejm on that pink one - just love those colours ( and I don't even like pink myself!). But the other one is beautifully done too - with good contrast in the swirls.

Nice soaps Misschief!

I like the chocolate cream colours, but the top on the pink is very cool (it reminds me of the harlequin jester's cap, right down to the little bell ends ).

What you achieved in the Java soap is my favorite kind of swirl. I really don't care for a lot of colors at once, or very 'busy' soap, but these butterfly swirls give sufficient 'interest factor' for me. Just my opinion ... It's not like I have any talent for making my soap look any way I might choose...

Thank you, Meena. Swirls take some practice; keep them simple and they'll turn out just fine. I'm not always happy with my swirls but I am happy with these two.
