What happened to the 8oz options for FO's there? That was all I used to order, now I have to go with 4oz because I can't afford the 16oz sizes??? Why would they do that?

I contacted them and here's the email I got back:

Thank you for contacting WSP Customer Service regarding the 8 oz. Fragrance Oil size. Unfortunately the 8 oz. and 32 oz. bottles have been harder and harder for us to secure in the quantities we need. By eliminating these sizes the prices dropped by $6 to $10 per lb., many everyday low prices are now $10-$17/lb. with free shipping. Some 2 and 4 oz. went up .25-.50 while some went down. We have eliminated the 8 oz., 32 oz., and 192 oz. sizes and now have a 6 lb. price break so you don't need to buy the full 12 lb. to get the discount. I do apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

Total bummer. Even though the prices dropped on the 16oz sizes (so they say), I still can't afford them and will now have to pay more for the 4oz sizes :(

They are lying as well. Their two ounce fragrances are as high as ten dollars. Ten dollars for two ounces, isn't that like $80 a pound?

I refuse to order from WSP for and fragrances due to the extremely high prices. Even with free shipping it's too high. I do order a few other things but rarely.

WSP is not the only supplier that has high prices, especially on the more expensive fragrances. WSP also DID say that the price on some of their 2 and 4oz went UP while some went down. Daystar has some that are $8.25 and $10.75 for 2 ounces.

Fragrance oil suppliers usually give price breaks at higher quantities, which exactly what you get when you order large sizes of your soaping oils and butters, so there's really no difference between the two.

I had finally reached the point where the 8 oz was a good size for me. I can understand not carrying the 32 oz. But I am sure there are other sources for bottles. I wonder if there isn't more to the story, the profit on 2 oz and 4 oz are much greater. I was really disappointed too.

Thats true Vanessa but they could have found other bottling options. 8 oz is a popular size. Also I know of two other fragrance suppliers who have thier prices fixed at roughly 2.60 per ounce or 8 dollars for 4 oz. all things considered, wsp just made themselves less desirable as a fragrance supplier. At least to me. I do still think they are great for oils and additives, for the quantities I buy they are still less expensive even with shipping built in. If I had the extra cash for shipping I would buy in quantity from Soapers Choice however.
