Wow, they turned out great

So I found these tiny little 'ice cube' tray things (okay, my dd1 found them) at a local hobby store in the shape of tiny skulls. I thought they'd make neat little guest soaps for Halloween, so I got one to try. I scooped part of the most recent uncolored batch into the mold and refrigerated to prevent gel. They turned out fantastic! And should be ready in time for that holiday too.

So, the gelling process might turn the soap darker? Interesting.

Exactly, I wanted them to be as white as possible so they'd look more realistic... though I wonder if I brushed black oxide into the 'eye sockets' before pouring in the soap, would that work to tint those darker do you think? Or would it just run all over?
