would you rather a Rosemary Bar or Mint bar?

Trying to decide on a scent line...

so far I am thinking of:

Lavender, Tea Tree, Lemongrass or Grapefruit, and either Mint or Rosemary....

What do you think?

Rosemary mint is one of my all time favorites, rosemary, spearmint & peppermint.

i triple agree on the rosemary and mint. i got mine from WSP, as well, and i really, really dig it. it was one of my first scents soaped, and it's awesome!

just chiming in to add that my first thought was both also. I made a batch a few weeks ago with lavender, tea tree and rosemary. I love it, but when i used it I thought it could use mint, too.

I voted mint but I'd rather have both too. We go through a whole lot of peppermint here. Rosemary and peppermint is my personal fav, hubby loves anything peppermint.

not fond of mints, particularly foody ones like spearmint (straight).

I think I accidentally chose peppermint cuz I 'm brain dead, but I meant rosemary.

a blend, though, is prolly best.

lol you all are a great help with developing a COST EFFECTIVE SOLUTION lol..... "yeaaaaah Ian....just buy the farm!!!!"

jkjk.....

That sounds like a great idea...I didnt even think of that before to tell you the truth! When you can make up your mind..... choose every option... muahahahaha

I'm not generally the minty type, but my spearmint/peppermint/LG soap is really popular! I do 4/3/2 in small batches, 4/2/2 in anything over a kg at 4-5%. And beware the tingle!
Spearmint eo is a little wishywashy to use on it's own IMO,& peppermint too over the top.The LG just adds a touch of sweetness, doesn't come thru as LG at all.
Rosemary smells like eucalyptus to my nose.Blech :?

Hey Ian,I'd throw a floral into that line.Maybe Rose Geranium,or Ylang.(Ylang goes nicely with a titch of LG too,or orange 5x :) ).

Im in a similar boat, trying to decide on a final 1/2 doz eo soaps.Trying to stick to less spendy eo's,but some of the pricier ones you only need a teensy bit of,& I just can't live without patch! So I've got 6 soaps but 13 or so eo's in there!......I'll be taking the farm next door thanks!!

I'm making a Rosemary Mint later on this week - I grow both Rosemary and Spearmint in the back garden, and am curious to try that oil steep method - I have had the fresh Rosemary and mint steeping for about 3 days. If this works - I will be extremely pleased cos I also grow lavender, thyme, aniseed and sage!

I voted rosemary, cuz the mints seem to linger longer on my skin. The spearmint almost makes me want to go out and buy some chewing gum! My hubby says that pure spearmint soap makes him salivate in the shower, lol.

I do have regular customers for my tea tree and peppermint though. The bitterness of the tea tree seems to nicely tone down the mint and vice versa. I haven't tried it with spearmint yet.....might do that soon!.

lol forgive me but whats LG stand for? I am like abbreviation-impaired :)

I dont know if I have smelled Ylang Yland before but I might need to look into that... I want to go to this local shop called Om Gaia spiritual center, might try to test all the EO's they have over there and make notes about which ones I like the best and how they combine etc... I think they might have testers so itd be cheaper for me to use theirs as a 'customer' than to order a bunch and not like it lol....

I dont want to make it too complicated at first so I am thinking I wanted to start out with a few EO's that I can blend to make the most varied soaps... but since $$ is extremely limited... got to watch that ! :)

I pretty much have a $500 budget for getting this off the ground...

My hubby says that pure spearmint soap makes him salivate in the shower, lol.

lol ME TOOO! Makes me crave mint chocolate chip ice cream !

My best seller last year was grapefruit orange, I really like double notes.

i made a spearmint soap right before i got the flu last week and it smells like toothpaste. it is not a nice scent to me in the shower, and my whole family hates it on it's own.

rosemary mint however does smell nice so that gets my vote too
