I ask because when I cook with the spice it leaves a very heavy stain that is hard to get out.

I was thinking of using it to color a batch of soap.

I have used Coco Powder in the past and some of the resulting soap does bubble brown.

Thanks

MMMM I have soaped with Tumeric, I myself havent tried this one yet but one of my friends have and she didnt mention it bleeding.....best I can do is try some tommorow night 4 u and let u know ....

I've used tumeric often as a colorant for swirls. I've never colored the whole soap batch with it. I also never actually use the spice, I infuse it in olive oil for several days and then strain through a coffee filter. I just use the colored oil. It gives me a smooth color and not a speckled look. I've never had a problem with it bleeding.

I've only used it for swirling, straight vs. infused.
No colored bubbles, no bleed. Lovely!
