Hey everyone,
I am a newbie from India.
I recently moved into 1000g loaf moulds from small cavities square moulds.
I made 1000g oils batch twice, I could see white spots both the time.
For the first one,
45% hard oils
55% soft oils
5%Superfat
35% lye concentration
French green clay - 2 tsp
Essential oils 3%
Measured all oils into the same bowl and melted by heating them together.
Soaped at 80-100 F
When I researched, I heard about two solutions
1. Melt hard oils separately
2. Soap at a higher temperature
So
Second one,
50% hard oils
50% soft oils
7%Superfat
35% lye concentration
French pink clay - 2 tsp
Essential oils 3%
Melted hard oils separately, then incorporated in to soft oils.
Soaped at 100-120 F
But worse than before.
How do I solve this?
And also, I get trace pretty quickly, I could even work without a stick blender.
Could it be unsaponified lye?
I don't want this to happen again.
