Hello everyone, I am new to this site so I hope I am in the right spot!

Anyway I recently whipped up my first batch of shea butter and I liked it but wondered if it normally sets up a little more solid than when you first make it. I used shea with grapeseed/apricot oils(60/40%). It was really nice and creamy soft when I put it in a container but the next day it had went more solid. Now I don't hate it a little more firm but my aim is to find a sell-able recipe here so not sure about this.

Has anyone ever tried making foot shea butter with castor oil pepperment and likely one other thin oil!

On the bright side it does make my skin feel great and soaks in nicely after a few minutes.

Also wondered if any EO would mask the smell a little? I ordered a few different sheas, all unrefined but the one I have has no scent...I was told it has been filtered through charcol to take out that odour.

Tips/comments would be muchly appreciated!

I make my whipped shea butter with fractionated shea butter oil (liquid) and add a little dry flo to keep it from being so greasy. You would have to play around with it to get the ratio liquid shea to solid shea for the consistency you want. I make mine a little thicker in the summer so it doesn't melt so easily

So have you been making it a while? Is it ok to have a more solid form after its whipped if I were to sell it?

Don't suppose you know how to get rid of the smell, I don't mind it too too much but I am sure it would be a love/hate relationship with most customers

I do have the sample of unrefined that has very little/no scent but I still want to use the other stuff!
