Does whipped soap have any advantages to non whipped soap other than the floating? Does it last longer in the shower or anything like that or is mainly done just for the texture?
 
It's cheaper, since it contains a lot of air and air is cheap :p

Also, I like how it feels on the skin, somehow more delicate.

To compare how long it lasts, you'd have to do it by weight, and I'm not sure what the result would be.
 
Good question. I can't anwer it because I set my soaps on a raised dish outside the shower. I also rotate using them and I've never asked anyone how long they lasted.

I'm guessing here - I make mine with a higher percentage of hard oils so I would think they would last longer.
