which olive oil do i buy?

ok, im buying olive and palm from columbus, do i buy extra virgin/$23.10
pomace 16.59$, or refined A 19.60? does it really matter? Help!

Lots of soap makers prefer the pomace .I can't get pomace here so I use regular oo from Costco.

BJ's wholesale club (which is like Sam's or Costco) has several options... I go with the cheapest and it works great for me.

go for the cheaper (I don't know what's pomace, we don't have it in Italy, but I see many people use it), and if you want, the whitest.
Extra virgi will give you a greenish soap (it looks very "natural", but not the best option if you want to use colors or cute molds).

pomace is made when the last of the oils are extracted from the pits (the pulp has already been removed) using solvents...

I reccommend Grade A since it is the one pressed after Virgin, its made via centrifuge extraction of the ground pulp left from the processes for making EVOO/ VO

I have no issue with the solvents since soap is a wash off product, so I get the Pomace.
