Hey everyone,

I was wanting to try another batch of soap tonight ( I just got my hand blender yay!!!!)

I got a 16 oz tub of lard because I wanted to form a harder bar- but what other fats/oils should I add to make the bar top quality?

I have the following on hand:

Olive oil
Almond oil
Castor oil
Canola oil
Shea Butter
Cocoa Butter
Sesame oil
Vitamin E oil

Any suggestions? Thanks! :)

For my lard soap, I use lard, of course  , olive oil, castor oil and palm kernel oil (for bubbles). It makes a great soap!

IrishLass :)

I could get coconut oil I just am trying not to give my boyfriend a heart attack with the cost of soap making hehe! I'll definitely get it though it sounds like one of the better oils to work with!
