I am trying to decide between Peaks Wild Mountain Honey and Daystars Sugar Toffee Crunch.

If you've smelled both of them can you tell me how they differ and which you prefer? I am looking to add a honey or honeyish soap to my line and have not smelled any of the honey FO"s yet.

I have the Peaks Wild Mountain. Didn't like it out of the bottle, but it smells okay in cp soap. Does smell of honey, but there is a perfume tint to it, maybe some grassy undertone as well. Can't help you with Daystar.

I have used both. The Sugar Toffee Crunch does not smell like honey at all to me. Peaks Wild Mountain is the way to go between the two...but my honey fragrance of choice is BB'S honey beeswax fragrance. It's very strong and a good mixer.

Every honey FO I've ever tried has this weird floral undertone and gives me an instant headache.

The Peak version seemed better than most that I tried before giving up on the scent altogether.

Most Oatmeal, Milk & Honey fragrances smell kind of almondy to my nose.

I use www.soapsupplies.net sweet nectar...I haven't really found a perfect honey, but when blended 4 or 5 parts sweet nectar to 1 part patchouli e/o, it gives it a nice earthy scent masking any floral or "off" scent...I love it mixed with honey or lavender...and i'm not a patchouli fan, either...btw, splurge and get the dark Indonesian e/o...worth the money, since you use so little!
