I've done a bit research and it seems that activated charcoal is not an easy thing to make at home.

I do however make my own charcoal in small quantities and wondered if I can grind if down to use in soap?

Any one done this?

Thanks

The thing with Activated Charcoal is that it is skin safe, so I think it would be hard to determine if there are carcinogenics in your charcoal because of the method of creating it...

Lindy. Many thanks. As far as I know it's just carbon once cooked but you have a point. eBay I think! Just trying to add in as much homemade stuff that I can. Thanks very much

Check with your soap supplier. Not sure which country you're in, but most of them carry it. You can also ask your pharmacy to bring it in as it is also used to absorb poison and such in the stomach. It must be the powder, not what they use in aquariums.
