I was looking for a recipe for making a solid perfume with floral wax and stumbled across this:
http://www.naturalbeautyworkshop.com/my_weblog/2010/06/rose-mimosa-solid-perfume.html

"Mimosa Floral Wax, Clear Jojoba, and Organic Rose Damnascena CO2 Extract. This is a pretty luxurious recipe, as it is made with mostly precious ingredients. You can create a more economic version of this recipe by swapping the CO2 out for something less expensive. Natural options include our Rose Essential Oil, Rose Absolute, or Rose Attar."

Sense Rose EO is considered to be a very expensive and precious ingredient, I had to know what made rose EO a "less expensive" option.

The Organic Rose Damascena Select CO2 Extract is $173.44 for 1/16 oz!!! OMG! Who is buying this?

Rose Damascena Absolute is $98 for 1/4 oz at Nature with Love (which is where their link leads). Unless I am figuring wrong you will get close to 11 tins out of the rose absolute which should put it around $9.00 for the Rose +plus shipping of course. I just do not know how much call for rose solid lotion. I have made a rose fragranced solid perfume which sold but did not sell quickly. (Rose Attar fragrance from Soapalooza). My calculations could very well be off this morning
