Hey everyone!,

I made my first honey soap. I added the honey very early on, after pouring into the mold, I noticed that the soap started to gel, and I put it into the fridge for a while.......

Today, after cutting this soap, I notices the odd "marks" where the soap had gelled.

Has anyone else had this happen? is this congealed honey? will the soap be ok, or will it require rebatching?

PS. These marks are not noticed in the soap, at the ends of the soap where the soap did not gel or did not gel very much. it's mainly in the center /middle area

Thanks
E.

When you say you added the honey early on...did you mix it with your oils then add your lye bath? Or did you add it at trace? It really doesn't look like globs of honey. What oils did you use?

I added it at light trace. I used regular oils, coconut, olive, palm, castor.
1 tablespoon of honey PPO
