So what are you making this weekend? This weekend is going to be all about ready for Mother's Day and starting on Father's Day as well as getting some replacements made. So far I've got Dragon's Blood, Texada Gold (made with Hemp Oil of course & coloured green), Mango Madness (with Mango Butter in it) & another Castille made. Tomorrow I want to start a Liquid Soap - first time and scared to death - make a double batch of Body Butter, as well as another batch of Honey Lip Balms.....

So what about everyone else?

Hi Lindy!

I was going to make an acne soap using charcoal among other things, however I have run out of room to store curing soap....so part of my weekend will be re-organising my linen press to make room for more soap! I am also going to try my hand at my first face cream (wish me luck!)...

Tanya :)

I got my Select Shades colors and two FOs from Tradewinds today, so I plan to do some serious playing this weekend. As much as I love the natural, creamy beauty of some of my uncolored soaps, I have an itch to try some bright and colorful ones, too.

First up is a batch with the Paradise FO from Daystar. It smells so much like Mountain Dew to me that I'm going to try for a really vivid color to go with the scent. I love this FO, and will definitely be ordering more of it.

I got an osmanthus FO from Trdewinds, and I'm dying to try that out. OOB, it doesn't really smell like the flowers, but it's a decent enough scent anyway, and I'm hoping it'll smell closer to the flower once it's soaped.

Depending on how much time I have left, I might try the neroli blossom FO from Tradewinds, too. That one's reallllly strong oob, so I'm going to go light on it and see how it does. The FO has an orangey tint to it, so I'm going to (hopefully) make the soap a creamsicle sort of orange, maybe a swirl if I'm feeling frisky.

A saskatoonberry salt bar and a sakatoonberry lotion bar. I have start packing ugh!! We are moving the middle of May.We need to downsize and the new house has the perfect soap room complete with double sink and lots of cupboards.yay. It also has a workshop for the hubby my main mold maker. Can't wait ..

Happy soaping and a no soapfairy weekend to all the weekend soap makers.

Today I made my first beer soap and I made coffee & cream soap. I'm hoping to do a shaving soap this weekend. I need more room to store the soap!

Yesterday I made a batch of Brown Ale liquid shampoo, pale ale and stout soap bars. Today just peppermint lip balm and some Pachouli body spray. I have a small one day show tomorrow.

i still have to make a new batch of eucalyptus and I just got some new scents from nature's Garden that I want to try....but I have a feeling that nothing will get done this weekend.

Bruce your soaps always sound so enticing. I'm itichin' to try beer soaps.

As for me, everyone - I have a chocolate/sweet orange soap in the mold right now. We'll see what happens... :)

Hope to have time to fool around with a test batch for the Canadian swap before, with any luck, making the real deal on Monday.

Same here, I'm going to do what I hope will be a duplicate of the swap soap LOL if it all turns out ok that is.

I'm also doing guest size soaps this weekend for mother's day I'm putting together little gift bags for my son's work of guest bar soap, small lotion, and small sugar scrub. They'll be given out as gifts to all the mother's who come into his work ( fine dining restaurant ) on mother's day.

Thanks for the reminder, I need to make Gardenia soap for my mother for Mother's Day. I also am making Uncle Tom's Fishing Soap (anise w/poppy seeds) today to get ready for opening fishing weekend here in Minnesota.

Im trying a new fragrance this weekend...of course everythings new to me. Anyway I call it "wicked" and it will have cinammon, brown sugar, and orange mocha. Im a little afraid of how the scents will smell together, but I guess i should test that out with a few drops before making the whole batch

I think I'll play around with some bath bombs and some M&P soap and put together an ice-cream cups and make something like this that I made a couple years ago. I'll probably do a blue and green one for my neice. :) I just won't do the lotions.

OMG, those are SOOOOOOOOOOOO adorable. Really creative!!
Love it.
Thanks - and the kids LOVE them, because afterward the mom can pop the straw-spoon and cup in the dishwasher and then have them use them for REAL ice cream. :)
I got the cups and straw-spoons at the Dollar Tree about 3 years ago and got the idea from another forum. They are quick and easy and fun to make. :)

I tried to do some laundry and dish soap, HP since they don't have to be pretty... didn't read up on it beforehand and did a water discount so they would dry faster. Turned out that was a bad idea and then had to cook it too long on top of that to get the zap to go away with the less water. They look like little shriveled, lumpy, wrinkly things.

But I guess it's alright because they still work fine. ;)

live and learn!

I'm not soaping this weekend. I'm going to finish up my spring cleaning then give the house a much needed smudging.

I actually made today

Passionfruit & Papaya Soap w/ embeds scented with Red Lychee Tea

Lettuce

Orange Spice mixed w/ Lavender EO

Black Linen & Amber (which has fled the scene, and smells like plastic

I am going to make now

Sandlewood & Ylang (200 samples)
Black Amber and Lavender
Hibicus

Edited to add : I made Smokey Pacthouli, Pomergrante & Red Currant, Buttermilk & Honey, Australian Bamboo Grass
