Hi. I am trying to learn how to make lotions / soaps, so maybe this is a crazy question....I have noticed in some lotions that I have recently purchased, there is an ingredient on the label called Benzophenone 4. Can someone please tell me what this is and is this a common ingredient to put in lotion or does it go by a different name? I did find something that said it was a UV absorber. Can someone please help!? Does anyone on here put it in their lotion? If so, where can I purchase it? Thanks so much!

Yes I believe it is a UV absorber...honestly i wouldnt use it.. Id go for zinc oxide before that stuff...
