So I bought the Chevy BOLT (BEV all electric, no engine). This is not my first All Electric EV car but I had a F-350 Diesel that I refused to give up so I could do long trips and pick up large items. I finally traded it in for the Bolt because it was 12 years old and I no longer needed it since this car will go further then the old EV. Plus I was looking at spending about $2k in repairs soon, so off it went. I miss her :(

You see............ I am a Craig's List Free Junkie.

There I admit it ! ;) I can't help myself as there are a ton of great things in my area on it.

I have chickens in a 7x7 Rubbermaid shed, and another smaller 4x5 Rubbermaid shed.

I was driving home from the gym on Saturday and saw a Rubbermaid shed taken apart and ready for the trash.

I couldn't help myself !
Turns out that it is one of the bigger 6x8 sheds. I can't put it together till spring but this is a score of $850 !!

People underestimate a Hatchback.

What about you? Shoved anything big into your hatch ?

Well, now, several years ago I convinced my husband that since we didn't have a pick-up truck I needed a station wagon (same kind of back opening as your hatch-back) because you can get so much into the back. He thought, no, it's a family car and we don't have young kids. But it was my car and it's what I wanted so I got it. Used it for years and then it became my husband's car when I bought my convertible. Now it is our 'spare car' because he also just got another car and we both decided if he can repair what was wrong with it (he thinks he can), then it sure would be nice to have it for hauling and as a back up as needed.

I have to say, in my lifetime I have managed to put more into a station wagon than many people think would fit. I am really good at packing and fitting the most amount of stuff into the smallest possible space.

I grew up in a family of 5 kids (when I was a teenager, we had an additional 4 foster kids too). My mom drove a 1979 ford hatchback pinto until I got my license at age 15 and then I inherited the Pinto. So my mom got all 5 kids in that car. I swear, we pulled up somewhere and it was like watching a clown car unload.

I drove a Dodge Neon from 2000-2007 and again from 2010-2017. People were always amazed at how much stuff I could pack in those cars. Friends would move and I'd show up to the party to load up the Neon. I once got a 4ft Jesus picture in frame, two end tables, a CD tower, and an assortment of boxes into my car at an auction. Plus my two kids. (And yes, the 4ft Jesus picture was a good deal. I know you're jealous.)

I have a very-well-used Dodge Caravan. The standard version will leave 4x8 sheets of plywood hanging a bit out the back, but 8 foot boards and lumber will fit inside, slid up between the two front seats. Good for moving fixtures and construction material. Also, two minivans is sufficient to set up a double-wide sales position outdoors at the big festival, which includes our own framed-tent, with folding tables, all merchandise, all accessories, the lighting, the point-of-sale system, etc. I drive the van right up to our sales position and literally stand on the roof to affix the signage and lighting. Arrive at 10 am ---> then all set up by 1:30 pm.

I adore my hatch. I've got an 03 Kia Rio (longer than the new ones) and the amount of furniture pieces she can fit is quite amazing.

My dad has a small Holden Barina. He wasn't sure about it at first (because "it's a sheila's car") and then he went to the hardware store. Now he loves it. He can buy almost anything he wants and find a way to make it fit. Mum loves it too. When they take the Falcon sedan she ends up been dragged along. She doesn't have to go when he wants to take the Barina.

I'm leasing one........just put 12 pieces of 2x4, 2 six foot reed fence things, and had plenty of room left. I don't like that theres no tiedowns so I have string around the license plate and another one around the lumber to the rearview wiper... but yes, yes I can get lumber home! Just not sheets of plywood :(
