Hi! Im new, this is my first post!
I make CP soap and have just started selling it. One of my friends has asked for a 36 bar variety pack (her 4 fave kinds) and Im not sure what to charge her!
I sell my bars for $5, or 5 for $20. My cost is anywhere from $0.68 to $2 per bar. I sell my soap to a shop here for $2.50 a bar so I consider that my wholesale. I am not sure if thats enough?
So two questions, am I charging enough wholesale, and what discount do I give for 36 bars..???
Thanks in advance.

I don't sell, but I've read often that a good rule of thumb for pricing is:

Wholesale: cost (including packaging, labor, & overhead) x 2
Retail: Wholesale x 2

That's what my clients who wholesale do as well. If you sell more of the lower cost bars, then the average of 2.50 is ok, but if you're wholesaling more of the $2/each ones, you'll want to either increase it so the average is higher to account for it, or charge separately for each type.

Ditto.

You may want 2 lines of soap though, since your prices vary so much. A regular line & a premium or luxury line you can ask more for.

I hadnt thought of going with "premium" on the more complicated/costly bars! Excellent advice thanks everyone! I think Ill have to charge different prices per bar.
