I'm just being curious ( or nosey! )!

I can't quite decide what to make- this is my first Christmas as a soapmaker :D

Same here! All the teachers at school, and all my friends and family will be getting soaps as part of their pressies! I do CP, but I'm thinking I'll do all pressies as M&P - that way I can personalise them. I might put a photo of my kids on a bar for the two grandmas .... and we'll see about everyone else. :D

What are you doing?

I'm making wax melts for gifts this year. I'm giving the warmers and a few tarts, and putting in a slip where they can order their choice of scents free of charge-- just let me know what they want and I'll pour and ship them. I have a few relatives who are really frustrated with how the Yank** candles are burning lately-- lots of soot and two have had the glass shatter on warmer trays, so this seems a good idea.

Everyone always gets soap-- I might branch out this year and throw in some body butter, healing hand salve, and/or solid lotion bars. I'm considering doing shaving soaps and brushes for the guys; not sure yet.

im buying a few "winter" fos, forgot the names now, snowflake something, gingebread cookies, plumfairy.

I am making gift baskets for the gals in the family and girl friends , with some face soap , body soap , shampoo bar , solid lotion , liquid soap , candle tarts , bath bombs ,a room spray a crocheted silk scrubbie and a soap rug . Everyone is getting lumps of coal , I had a black swirled soap scented with Santa's Pipe that didn't turn out , so it is now lumps o coal. The menfolk are getting some green irish tweed soap and a shaving soap set and shampoo bar . For the kiddo's their favorite Disney character, towel set and soap crayons . ( I better get busy  )

I saw a really nifty idea using clear soap and a rubber fish.... fish in bags soap! I might try those or else make gift baskets for family. I don't usually give many gifts to extended family, but do usually prepare 'guest' soap baskets as teacher gifts (last year that was M&P, added strings so they could be ornaments, it was pretty cool).

I am making a handful of nice CP soaps and some bubbling bath bombs.

Kitn, I have to laugh every time I see that poor kitten of yours with obsesive compulsive licking disorder! :D :D Have you had him to the Dr. for him problem? I know his tounge is going to fall off soon. LOL

Oh my gosh, I can see I am tired tonight, my spelling is simply retarded in the previous post. Obsessive was spelt wrong and I meant to say for HIS problem, not for him problem, sheeeesh

ROFL We have tried everything to get him to stop , kitty shrink , behavior modification , taking his allowance away , time outs , you name it , he just keeps on going like that energizer bunny .

I'm going to try making some soap dishes and wrap up a couple of bars with them for my family. One year we did a gift exchange where everything had to be handmade....it was fun, I made fudge...my sister BOUGHT handmade stuff to give...

:)

That's cheating!

I've made my soaps, and I am considering doing a chutney too. I am in the process of making sock monkeys for the girls.
