Weird result - maybe it's the FO?

I'm not sure if I should post this here or in the FO forum. But anyway, I just did a batch which is behaving rather oddly. It is my standard "tried and true" recipe, which is usually hard enough to cut and handle well before 24 hours. This batch was exactly the same, except I tried 0.5 oz PPO of Candlescience Cucumber Melon FO. I made the soap 3 days ago, but it is still the consistency of cold cream of wheat and is weeping a lot of oil. The FO is the only variable from the previous successful batches. Has anyone had a similar result? I guess I will just let it sit longer and see what happens...

The recipe (grams):
Pomace 275
Coconut 275
Lard 229
Avocado oil 90
Castor oil 45

Lye 131
Water 347
Sodium lactate 9

Moved post.

That sounds really weird but I have never had that happen myself. If you are sure everything was measured correctly and added to the batch then I would think its the FO.

What temp did you soap at? If it was cooler, with the lard and the coconut, you could have gotten a false trace. I suppose that even some of the lye could have been bad. Did you add the FO at trace or do you add to the oils before adding the lye? If the latter, I suspect it was false trace. By this point, I don't think its going to do much else. I would toss it in a crockpot and cook it an hour on low since its sounds like its all still soft. After an hour on low, it should pass the zap test. If it doesn't by then, I think its a trasher.

That is probably a good theory. Soaped at RT but did not add FO until light trace...in retrospect it may not have gotten to trace at all. It never did get remotely hard, just stayed soft, grainy and weird. No zap, though. Anyway, it has gone to the great crockpot in the sky. Fingers crossed for a usable result.
