Does anyone know how to dry walnut shell? Are any of my posts being answered?

I don't know how to dry them except to let them set out to dry out :?:

Ok, thanks. I want to dry them and grind them up to put in my soaps but i have no idea how to do that. I've tried finding something on the web but can't.

Maybe break them up and put them in a coffee grinder :?:

Is there no supplier that has ground walnut shell? I can get it from any of the suppliers of soap ingredients in Aus, and there is only a handful of them.

Oh, fair enough.

Just a thought, the ground walnut shell that I buy is like tiny little balls, and I still find it horribly scratchy in soap. I have it in an emulsified scrub at the moment & like it much more in that use - maybe because it can roll across your skin rather than drag across it?

Anyway, my point is, how would you replicate this at home? I would imagine that putting it thru a coffee grinder would give you lots of tiny little shards - not something I would like to use! Maybe something to keep in mind...

I think that you'd just end up breaking your coffee grinder/food processor. I'd just buy it ... I got apricot kernel meal cheap as dirt and it works great if you want something exfoliating but not too horribly scratchy (think St. Ives apricot stuff from back in the day).
