I have a bottle of walnut oil that I have not opened and need to use in something. I have read that it is very moisturizing, and good to fight excema and skin fungus. Any recommendations? Should I use it in my lotions rather than my soaps? Would it be good in a dog shampoo bar?

I use it in lotions and creams for sensitive and problem skin. I combine it with borage, jojoba, avocado (or apricot kernel) and shea butter. My BIL used some and asked for more. He said it helped his psoriasis better than the medicated products he had been buying. I don't use a large amount of the walnut oil - only about 5%-8%.

It's good in products for oily skin since it's a dry oil and absorbs quickly. On the other hand, it's also good for mature skin since it's said to help with cell regeneration.

eta: I don't know about dog shampoo.
