I was curious to know what you guys do for Valentines Soaps? I have racked my brain trying to come up with some cute but can't think of a thing! I want to give some out to my friends and my kids teachers his year! I wasn't able to do much for them during holidays because I was in the hospital most of Dec. so I feel like I owe everyone something for being to kind to me! Any ideas would be very helpful!! Thanks!

Well, if you've seen my recent post about adding chunked melt and pour to CP, you could try something like that!

You can buy silicone heart shaped ice cube trays (you can probably find them at the dollar store) and make some clear pink M&P heart soaps, then embed them into CP!

FYI I didn't find heart ones at dollar tree but I found a two pack of them at target in their dollar bins. Was 2.50 and there are I think 14 compartmentts in each.

You could order some heart shaped soap molds, or you can also make your usual shaped soap and then using you soap colourants paint hearts on the soaps....

Cheers
Lindy

Or just get a heart shaped cookie cutter, make your soap in a flat bed mould or a lined cardboard box then cut out the hearts, maybe get some cheap gift boxes or bags and make them up.
These are wooden boxes used for packaging cheese, they are my best seller at anytime of year!

I'm not super creative or anything, I just made plain pink CP soap with Vanilla Rose FO. Guess I'll have to be a little more creative in wrapping it. I'm also going to make some heart shaped bath fizzies (using those heart shaped molds from target!) and maybe even some just little soaps using the same molds. Again....need to get creative with the packaging.

I also want to try a glycerin loaf of white with a clear/red/chunky heart in the middle....if that makes sense...
Some fragrances I've pulled out to play with are the roses (vanilla rose, victorian rose, rose, rose garden), cinnamon, cherry, pink sugar and strawberry.
Oh, gonna make some rose bath salts of course!

Valentines Scentes

I think a sweet smell would be appropriate for a Valentine soap. I've been wanting to make a soap with Anise essential oil and I think that would be a good, sweet Valentine scent. Ylang Ylang would be my second suggestion.

I bought a rose scent and a cinnamon scent and will attempt some heart shaped soaps. I got the molds at Dollar Tree. I am not really crafty and prefer to dump everything into a tray mold.
My Christmas soaps did not turn out. Waited too late and wasn't inspired. My husband came home with a double heart cookie cutter yesterday. He is determined there will be Valentine soaps.

I did these in heart shaped silicone (I thikn they are silicone) cupcake pans.
