Using Glycerin for making Lye solution

Hi fellow soap makers!

I saw someone on youtube making a lye solution with lye and glycerin when she made liquid castille soap.

But I was wondering, can the same thing be done for making bar soap too? If so, how long should the curing be before using the soap?

I just wanna make sure its safe before using it. Otherwise, I'll stick to using distilled water.

I have never heard of anyone using this method for cp soap. It would have to be a HP soap because the paste gets really thick very fast and even then, I don't know how it would turn out.
