Has anyone tried using dried lemongrass in their CP soap? I loved the smell when I crushed some, but it felt like it would be very scratchy. Has anyone tried it ground fine or how about an infusion and then drain it out? Thanks for any suggestions.

The finely ground lemongrass wouldn't add anything but a bit of scrub.
If you want a noticeable scent, lemongrass essential oil or fragrance oil is a better option.

Lemongrass may be like any other herb in that it can burn in the making of cp soap. It will give the soap an appearance of something is mildewing. I would do like the others have said, grind it really fine, and then use lemongrass essential oil. good luck!

I've used it before and made the mistake of not grinding it fine enough. Way too scratchy, I looked like I had cat scratches after testing out. Needless to say it was rebatched lol. It did turn a pretty tan color though.

I have some frozen dried lemongrass. I infused it in olive oil but don't see much change in the oil. No real scent. Love lemongrass. I have the dried version as well and will grind it really well. Maybe tea leaves instead? Will use the lemongrass EO but also wondering if there is anyway to used the real thing.
