I think this is my most ambitious soap to date!
Three colors and goat's milk, I tell you I was a bit nervous (didn't want to mess up my lovely ingredients) I love this scent so much I wanted to make a soap that was as pretty as the scent.
Needless to say, the soap didn't come out ANYTHING like I planned, lol, but I still think it's pretty and I'm happy with it. My swirls are a work in progress, they're def tough for me. Don't know how you get those nice rounded tops, either, but that was what I was going for

Hope you don't mind the large pic? I love when you guys use the big ones that I don't have to click on, but rather they're just there and big in my face.

I think your soap is gorgeous! I love the combination of the colors, swirls and layers plus you did an excellent job with the textured top. I'd be thrilled to have a batch this beautiful.

Honest to God...if I could reach through the computer, I'd shake you repeatedly. You are too critical. It may not be what you planned but you achieved a really awesome result.

Okay...now I'm going to go off and sulk in envy. (Don't talk to me for awhile because I'm sooo jealous.)

Lol!
Critical of my own stuff maybe, but thank you, thanks to all who replied!

Had to take a dinner break and I just started some Valentines m&p goodies for my friends. Haven't done m&p since before Christmas, I miss it!

I think you did an absolutely beautiful rounded top! It looks wonderful! Awesome job on the swirling, too. And look at those great shimmers! Thanks for sharing. I love soap photos.

Love 'em! Look like a champion top texturer to me. Hey, I invented a word -- texturer. Or maybe it should be texturizer. (I need sleep)

Aw, thank you so much- such nice comments!
I just hope it the darker colors don't bleed too much in the shower, but I'll have to wait and see for that.

Saltydog -
Can you share how you get the shimmer on the tops? I assume it's probably a body safe glitter, but how do you get it so uniform and nice?

TIA - :)

Yes, it's body safe glitter, and I just pinch it between my fingers and sprinkle it from pretty high up. It seems to fall more evenly like that

Okay! Thank you!
I have some yellow and white cosmetic grade glitter I'd like to try this with...
Do you sprinkle it on when the batch is still wet? Or when it's ready to be cut?
Seems it would stick better while the soap is wet... :)

Your welcome!
If I know I want to use glitter, I sprinkle my glitter when the soap is still wet.
If I have ash after the fact, I just discovered (through this forum, of course) that I can brush on shimmery mica to cover it up- works great! My daughter gave me a small blush brush she was no longer using and it works like a charm.
