Turmeric Soap Lost Color?

I used 1.5 tsp turmeric to 1 lb of oils, added directly to oils before adding lye water. It worked beautifully. Even got a partial gel which I didn't quite expect.

Brilliant! Great colour isn't it Paprika is supposed to work well too, although I haven't tried it yet.

It looked like pumpkin pie...... Made me hungry. I agree, the turmeric color is beautiful.

Tumeric Essential Oil will hold its color much better than the powdered.

I did not know that Turmeric essential oil exists. That sounds nice. I was using turmeric powder because I wanted to use what I have already to learn to color soaps.
