Does anyone of you use turkey red oil for soap making?
In what proportion?

What caracteristics does it contribute to the soap?

From what I hear, that one is not an oil but a detergent. Which means that you can't use it for soap making (it doesn't saponify).

What you might be able to do is use it as an additive to soap. But I have no clue if it would be a good or bad thing or what does it do.

Turkey red oil cannot be used as a base oil in soaps. It's uses are really where you want to get oils into solution with water (or visa versa). It's a detergent and as such, an emulsifier. It's great in small amounts in bath oils, for example, and is useful to help get fragrance oils and other oils to mix into liquid soaps.

I just bought some to use in bath bombs. It is supposed to disperse oils and help to minimize greasy residue in the tub. I don't think it works well in CP soap.

From what I understand ( and I could be wrong here) is that it is used to superfat liquid soap since liquid soaps are usually make with a 0% SF.

That is what I have read, too.
