Good Morning,

I'm preparing to try making a translucent soap so I can make some kids soaps with imbeds in them. I plan on using vodka and my bastille (75% EVOO - 25% CO) so any suggestions would really be appreciated.

TIA

Deda those are gorgeous!!!! Okay I have to ask - how did you do that I really, really need to try it. I was thinking something basic like oh, translucent soap with a sea sponge inside, or soaps for kids with "treasures" inside, but now I have to up that bar and try that stuff.

TIA

Thanks~! I do like the way it looks. But I have to say, that after making the same kind of soap with MP I will be sticking with the MP for selling soap.

I got a book from the library called Making Transparent Soap by Catherine Failor. It was really easy to follow, just take your time, don't rush.

Thank you Deda - I'll order that book through Chapters plus I do have a recipe for translucent soaps which I have going right now - stage one today - stage 2 tomorrow. We'll see how it turns out......

I've got the first step done and later today I'm going to melt it back down to add the Sugar & Vodka. This is really interesting stuff.
