I've been having trouble adding SG to my HP batches (thickens WAY to fast and does not cook properly). My total batch is 25.75 oz and I'm adding .30 oz SG (dissolved in .50 oz hot water). I'm adding SG to warm oils prior to lye solution. I would SINCERELY appreciate everyone's advise as to how they are adding it and if I'm adding too much much.

I use SG, I am assuming you are referring to Sodium Gluconate at the rate of .5-1.1% in cp soap. I dissolve it in my extra liquid and stir into my oils before adding my oils. I have never had it accelerate my batter and it is used in every batch. While I very seldom HP when I do I work the same way and have had no problems with SG in hp. Are you cutting down your liquid in your hp? If you are using pure SG I don't know why you would have an issue at such a low percentage.
