I sure do get it about the long hair. I've been using a dog rake (like a broom, but more of a rake) on my carpet for years to get my loose hairs up before vacuuming. And we also use the sink traps. But I cut my hair last month and it is no longer below my waist, so I won't have to rake the floor before vacuuming for a while, anyway.
A nice gadget I carry in my car trunk called the Zip-It works great for unclogging those pesky long-hair clogs in drains. I carry it with me, because when I travel with my granddaughter or visit her, this comes up sometimes.
