Ok I dedicated today to making soap roses. I also made leaves. I now have roses sitting on every cutting board and flat surface that I could cover with saran wrap. After I made about 12 of them I could feel my arthritis kicking in.....bummer...but i kept going I was on a rose making mission. I of course couldn't wait and started out with soap that was too liquidy to hold up any form. I figured it didn't matter much with my leaves. It mattered a lot with my roses.

The white dots are on the cellophane that I used to put the roses on my frosting nail. What I love about these little soaps....I used Sunripened Raspberry and Lavender Luxury FO in a ratio of 2:1, and this stuff just smelled good enough to almost eat.

Those look lovely! I am in awe of your artistry. I can barely manage swirly tops in a regular mold, lol.

See now I am really intrigued by this mix of fragrances. Sooooooooo, I plan on making real cupcakes, cutting a hole in them, making a white chocolate ganash and putting layers of the ganash with raspberry jelly(not jam, don't like the seeds). Then make a buttercream frosting flavored with edible lavender flavoring. I just need to see if this stuff could really taste as scrumptious as it smells.

I'm sorry, did you HANDmake the roses and petals? How can they look so good?? I wouldn't be able to do this in a hundred years. Not in two hundred!

I used frosting decorating tips. I would really love to have the larger rose and leaf tip. The tiny tips make tiny roses and itty bitty leaves. I think they will work well on a soap cupcake, but I would like to see how a big rose would turn out. I didn't make a big batch of soap, but it ended up making 42 roses and I didn't count the itty bitty leaves. I will be counting those lil suckers tomorrow when I take them off the saran wrap and put them on the rack to dry. I won't be able to share for at least a month and a half because i need to make the cuppie cake soap now....lol! Or were you talking about the edible cupcakes?
